I trained at The University of Manchester, qualifying in 1973. I worked at Manchester Royal Infirmary in General Medicine and Ear, Nose and Throat for twelve months. I worked at Stepping Hill Hospital for two years gaining further experience in General Medicine, Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

I entered General Practice when Timperley Health Centre opened on the 3rd October 1977. I have worked there ever since and am the only person to still be working there from the beginning.

I am interested in clinical care, long term follow up and continuity of care.
I have a special interest in minor surgery and joint injections. I perform minor surgery at Timperley Health Centre on patients referred to me by other general practitioners.

My name is included on the HMCTS list of specialists in the field of Gender Dysphoria. I have extensive experience in this field, having worked for over ten years at a Gender Identity Clinic in Greater Manchester.

I trained at Manchester University graduating in 2002 with Honours. As part of my training I spent 2 months working in a dermatology clinic in Florida and developed a special interest in this subject. After qualifying I spent 3 years working at Wythenshawe Hospital in various specialities including acute medicine, cardiology, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology and paediatrics. I qualified in General Practice in 2006.

As a GP I am very enthusiastic about the beneficial effects of exercise in a range of physical and mental conditions. I regularly attend educational meetings and courses to keep my knowledge and skills up to date.
